    Colleen Cain

    Colleen Cain serves as chair of the Governance Committee and as a member of the Executive, Compensation and Member Centricity Committees.

    Colleen is a seasoned senior executive and entrepreneur who has started and led high growth national businesses. She has expertise in government-run health programs and health insurance, health care information technology, mergers and acquisitions, health care administration, and corporate governance. Colleen currently serves as the chair of the Board of Directors of Legacy Health and as a director of The SCAN Foundation.

    Mylia Christensen
    Executive Director, Oregon Health Care Quality Corporation

    Mylia Christensen serves on the Network & Quality Committee.

    Mylia’s background spans the health care spectrum, including hospital and health care system management, strategic planning, public policy and administration. A nurse by training, she has held leadership positions at AON Employee Benefit Consulting, the Oregon Public Employees’ Benefit Board, Legacy Health, Good Samaritan Hospital and the Medicaid Evidence-based Decisions Project at the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) Center for Evidence-based Policy.

    Pacific Medical Group

    Susan Clack serves on the Network & Quality Committee.

    Susan is a family physician who practices with the Pacific Medical Group in the Tigard area. She received her medical degree from OHSU in 1984 and is Board Certified in Family Practice with a special focus on women's health. Her goals with her patients include building long-term relationships, treating the whole family, and helping to educate families so that they can improve their mental and physical health in all stages of life.

    Chief Financial Officer, TriMet

    Beth deHamel serves on the Finance, Audit & Compliance Committee.

    Beth brings to CareOregon extensive experience in the banking sector, particularly in public finance. She has served in senior leadership positions at Goldman Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley, and BT Securities Corporation and is currently chief financial officer of the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet). Beth is an active board member of non-profit organizations dedicated to education and children.

    President & Chief Executive Officer, CareOregon, Inc. (CareOregon)

    As president and chief executive officer of CareOregon, David Ford is a member of all six standing committees of the Board of Directors.

    David has occupied health care insurance leadership roles for more than 30 years. He is an ardent advocate in national and international arenas for creating world class health care, building learning organizations, and integrating vision and practice. A specialist in turnarounds, he has served as consultant and advisor for various venture capital firms, for-profit and non-profit health care entities, and as president and CEO of health care organizations.

    Vickie S. Gates

    Vickie Gates is the chair of the Member Centricity Committee and serves on the Governance and Network & Quality Committee.

    Vickie has more than 30 years of management and policy experience in the public and non-profit sectors, focused on health policy, research, and delivery of health care and social services. Vickie held a number of positions in the Oregon Department of Health and Human Services, including administrator of the Oregon Health Plan. Most recently, she was executive director of Oregon Healthcare Quality Corporation. Vickie is now a consultant for Oregon and national organizations based in Greensboro, North Carolina

    Nathalie Johnson, M.D.
    Surgical Associates

    Nathalie Johnson serves on the Network & Quality committee.

    Nathalie is a surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer and endocrine disease. She is the recipient of numerous awards among physicians, and advocates for research and education on breast cancer. She holds hospital appointments at Portland-area hospitals and is a clinical professor of surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University. Nathalie belongs to local and national professional associations and has served on several non-profit boards.

    President & Chief Executive Officer, Albertina Kerr Centers

    Chris Krenk serves as chairman of CareOregon’s Board of Directors. He is also the chair of the Executive and Compensation Committee and a member of the Governance Committee.

    Chris brings to CareOregon more than 30 years of management experience in the non-profit sector. As president and CEO of the Albertina Kerr Centers since 1990, he has helped to significantly increase the quality of services provided and the number of people served by the organization. Chris has a strong commitment to ensure that people with developmental disabilities, as well as emotional and mental health challenges, have the opportunity to realize their full potential

    Lynn Lundquist

    Lynn Lundquist is a member of both the Compensation and the Finance, Audit & Compliance committees.

    Lynn brings broad experience to the Board of Directors as a businessman, legislator and rancher living in Central Oregon. Lynn has served as chairman of the Crook County Planning Commission, president of the Oregon Cattlemen's Association, president of the Oregon Business Association, chairman of the Oregon Quality Education Model, and as the Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives and house majority leader. He is an advocate for children and education.

    J. Bart McMullan, Jr., M.D.

    Bart McMullan is the chairman of the Network & Quality Committee and a member of the Executive and Compensation Committee.

    Bart brings to CareOregon extensive knowledge of the field of private healthcare. He retired as CEO of Regence BlueCross Blue Shield of Oregon in 2010 and is former president and CEO of PacifiCare of Oregon. He is an internist by training and a former submarine medical officer in the US navy.

    Gil Muñoz
    Executive Director, Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center

    Gil Muñoz is the chairman of the Finance, Audit & Compliance Committee and serves on the Executive Committee.

    As executive director for the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center (VGMHC), Gil has extensive experience in managing community health centers. Originally founded to meet the needs of migrant and seasonal farm workers, VGMHC provides primary health care, prenatal and obstetric care, dental services, and health education to people from many cultural, linguistic, and vocational backgrounds in Washington and Yamhill counties.

  • Amit Shah
    Amit Shah
    Medical Director, Multnomah County Health Department

    Amit Shah is a member of the Network & Quality Committee.

    Amit has served as the medical director for Multnomah County Health Department since 2008 and in leadership roles in clinical, laboratory and health information capacities for the county since 2000. His training is in family medicine and biomedical informatics, and he serves as a board member of Northwest Regional Primary Care Association.

    Bob Stewart
    Superintendent, Gladstone School District

    Bob Stewart is a member of the Finance, Audit & Compliance Committee and the Member Centricity Committee.

    Bob is an experienced leader in education in Clackamas County, having served as superintendent of Gladstone schools since 1999 and in numerous management, curriculum, athletic, and community leadership positions within the school district since 1980.
