Formulary updates are now posted
CareOregon has recently updated its formularies for Oregon Health Plan members and CareOregon Advantage Medicare members.
The updates are available here:
Effective January 1, 2011, several drugs will be removed from CareOregon Advantage (Medicare) formulary. The table includes some of the drugs being removed and formulary alternatives. We want to avoid any disruption to therapy. So we will contact prescribers who have members who will be affected by the changes before the end of 2010 to help them make the transition to formulary alternatives or request an exception to avoid disruption in therapy.
In addition to these changes, some drugs now will require prior authorization or step therapy. Please go to the formulary update pages listed above for a summary of all changes.
