The Oregon Health Plan (OHP) is the state’s Medicaid program paid for by federal and state taxes. Benefits and coverage are determined by the state, based on budget decisions made by the legislature. CareOregon is One of the Managed Care Plans Available in the OHP

CareOregon currently serves the following counties: Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Coos, Douglas, Jackson, Klamath, Morrow, Baker, Polk, Multnomah, Tillamook, Umatilla, Union, Wheeler, Yamhill.

Note: Umatilla and Klamath counties are currently not open to new members.

You can choose your OHP/Medicaid managed care plan.

  • Select the managed care plan of your choice on your OHP application.
  • The state may enroll you in a plan if you did not select one. Within the first 30 days of receiving an OHP assignment into a managed care plan, you can change your plan to one of your choice. Contact your state case worker for more information.
  • At the time of your OHP application renewal, you may select the managed care plan of your choice.
  • For other options, contact your state case worker.
