Am I Eligible For the Oregon Health Plan (OHP)?

CareOregon provides physical, dental and mental health care and substance use treatment through the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) as part of Health Share of Oregon, one of two coordinated care organizations (CCOs) serving the tri-county area. You may be eligible for OHP based on your income or other factors.

The chart below offers a quick reference for whether you’re eligible for OHP. But it’s not the final word. Eligibility is based on several factors not shown here. There are several different ways to apply for OHP:

Even when your income qualifies you for OHP, the state still asks you to provide certain documents.

Have these with you when you apply online, or bring them with you to an in-person event.

Birthdate (birth certificate, if available)
Social Security number (for those who have one)
Income and deduction information (for example, pay stubs)
Immigration documentation (if applicable)
Information about health insurance available to you through an employer (if any)

Which OHP application method is best for you?

The OHP application method you use depends on how much time you have, how much privacy you have at your location and when you need your coverage to start. Overall, working with an assister seems to take the least amount of time from application through enrollment and offers one-on-one help for any questions you may have.
