  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 whole green cabbage
  • 1 lb hambuger
  • pepper (to taste)
  • garlic salt (to taste)
  • 1/8 cup soy sauce
hamburger cabbage

Saute finely chopped onion in a little cooking oil.

Add hamburger and cook unil brown.

Chop cabbage into 1/2 inch to 1-inch chunks, discard core and thickest pieces of cabbage.

Drain hamburger and onion mixture of excess fat.

Add cabbage, soy sauce, salt (if desired) and pepper to hamburger mixture, stir and cover.

Stir occasionally, cooking over medium heat. When cabbage has become wilted and soft, the dinner is done.

Served hot over sticky short grain rice, this is a favorite Hawaiian dish!
