Dealing with Asthma. For many people with asthma,
symptoms become worse in the spring. Coughing
from asthma is often worse at night or early in the
morning, making it hard to sleep. Dust mites, molds,
cockroaches, pet dander and secondhand smoke trigger
asthma attacks. Exposure to secondhand smoke also
can cause asthma
in young children.
If you or your child
has asthma, it’s
important to talk
with your primary
care provider (PCP)
about a care plan.
It’s important that you take your maintenance medication
daily, even if you
don’t have symptoms.
