Healthwise Handbook

Do you have a Healthwise® Handbook? The Healthwise Handbook is a free self-care guide for you and your family. Learn useful tips on staying healthy and recognizing health problems and potential emergencies. If you’ve already requested a copy, it will be sent to you soon.

For a free copy, call Member Services at 503-416-4100 or toll-free 1-800-224-4840. Call TDD/TTY at 1-877-416-4161. The free handbook is available to members only, one per household, please.

Link to Summer Food
There are more than 400 sites in Oregon where children through age 18 can get a free meal and have some fun this summer.

Visit www.summerfoodoregon.org or call 1-800-Safenet (1-800-723-3638) to find community sites across Oregon offering free lunches—and sometimes breakfasts and snacks—for all children.

Meal sites are hosted at a wide range of community locations, including parks, schools, community centers, churches and pools. Because children find fun as important as food during summer vacation, many sites offer free or low-cost activities along with the meals.

Link to Homeownership

If you want to know how to get started or learn about how much you can afford, attend an orientation session, scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Portland Housing Center, 3233 NE Sandy Blvd. Upcoming orientation sessions will be held Wednesdays, July 11 and 18; Aug. 1, 8 and 15; and Sept. 5, 12 and 19. Call 503-282-7744, ext. 101 or visit http://portlandhousingcenter.org
