A recipe from you: Mustard Wings
Delia Torres submitted this recipe in response to our call for healthy recipes in the December issue of CareLink.
-
12 chicken wings
-
1 large onion, chopped
- 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- tablespoon of mustard
- teaspoon of sugar
- 2 green onions, discard bulbs
- tablespoon of soy sauce
- tablespoon of olive oil
Cut off tips of wings and discard. Wash wings and dry on paper towel. Place wings in frying pan with olive oil on high heat. When wings begin to brown, salt to taste (you won't need much because soy sauce is also salty). Add chopped onion. Let wings continue to brown.
In a bowl, mix tomato sauce, mustard, sugar and a pinch of salt. Add mixture to pan with the wings, then add soy sauce and chopped green onions. Keep cooking until wings are tender and sauce has been reduced.
Serves four.
