Parks and recreation departments and districts have many activities for the whole family, including physical activities and classes for those who can’t be as active. You can find out more about these offerings by looking up “parks and recreation” in the government pages of your telephone book.

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department also has a long list of free publications about trails, campgrounds and activities in and around the many state parks. Here is a sample of the publications you can download:

The full list of publications is located at www.oregonstateparks.org/publications.php. You may also call 1-800-551-6949 (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to ask for mail delivery of these publications.
