CareOregon welcomes new director of Claims and Member Services

Tom DeVaney joins CareOregon with 22 years experience in health plan administration primarily in claims and customer services. 

In his role as director of Claims and Member Services, Tom oversees CareOregon's Customer Service Department, which includes Claims specialists, Member Services staff and Welcome Call teams.

Tom brings with him years of experience and expertise in project management, from implementing imaging, tracking and work flow systems to implementing new operating systems for claims. He spent 13 years with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Over the last seven years, he oversaw operations for the medical, dental and flexible spending accounts operations for Associated Administrators.

Tom and wife Connie live in Vancouver with their youngest daughter Jamie, 13.  Their daughter, Danielle, is a sophomore at the University of Oregon. Tom loves to fish and has fished in many states as well as the Atlantic, Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico.
