Provider Manual update
In September of 2006 our department made a mention of a Provider Manual revision coming to the website very soon. I am pleased to announce you may now view the most current version of this document. This is exciting news as it has been 3 years since we have done any edits to this manual. You will find billing and authorization guidelines as well as helpful links to obtain various forms, policies and procedures. Please go on-line today to begin using this invaluable resource for your clinic and or facility. If you should have any questions concerning information in our provider manual, please contact your provider relations representative.
National Provider ID and taxonomy codes
We are quickly approaching the national deadline to begin using NPI, taxonomy codes and the new HCFA/UB claim forms. If you have not applied for your NPI or taxonomy codes, please do so as soon as possible. You must have these identifiers and codes on all claims submitted to CareOregon on and after Wednesday, May 23rd. Any claims missing this information will be rejected at the clearinghouse level and you will be asked to resubmit the claims which will cause additional administrative work as well as delay your payments.
