By Kristen Benkstein, PharmD, CareOregon Clinical Pharmacy Program Coordinator
As you know, CareOregon made an OTC coverage policy change in July. Upon further reevaluation and receipt of provider feedback, the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee voted to add back several drugs/products that had been removed. Effective December 1, 2006, CareOregon will cover the following OTC drugs and products for both the Medicaid and Medicare benefits. Unless otherwise indicated, all dosage forms are covered, and a prescription is still required for coverage.
