Beginning January 1, 2011, CareOregon Advantage (COA) Plus and COA Star will offer a Point of Service (POS) benefit that allows members to see an out-of- network provider without prior authorization restrictions. For primary care physicians, the POS benefit enables you to refer CareOregon Advantage members to out-of-network specialty providers without obtaining an authorization.
