We are a Medicaid managed health plan. CareOregon serves about one quarter of the Oregonians whose care is provided through the Oregon Health Plan (OHP). We are committed to providing access to high-quality, culturally competent care for our members, and to supporting the providers who care for them.
We enable and strengthen the health care safety new system. Not all low-income Oregonians qualify for OHP or Medicare benefits. They rely on the health care safety net (local health departments, community, rural and migrant health centers) for care. CareOregon is committed to strengthening this vital health care delivery system to assure that it has the funds and the infrastructure necessary to effectively address the needs of these uninsured and underinsured Oregonians.
We advocate for a health care delivery system that leaves no one without care. CareOregon is committed to being a leader in creating a health care delivery system that assures access to quality health services for all who need care. We are committed to bringing all segments of the health care system together to develop and implement systems that assure this goal. To increase access, CareOregon has recently begun collaborating with several communities to add clinics in underserved neighborhoods.
