If you’re struggling with depression or anxiety, you’re not alone. Here are some peer support resources in Oregon and nationwide that can help:

What happens in a peer support meeting?

While each group may function a little differently, in general, you can expect the following:

  • The group will be led by a trained facilitator. It is a judgment-free space and what you and other people in the group say is confidential.
  • You can get to know other people who have the same challenges as you.
  • If you’re comfortable, you can share your struggles, challenges and experiences with mental health.
  • You can give and receive emotional support and practical help for your mental health from the facilitator and other participants.
  • A support group can help you develop skills and build confidence to live better with your mental health challenges.
