Who should I contact for youth mental health support?
There are many resources for youth mental health in Oregon, including crisis lines, support organizations and other resources:
- Crisis lines
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988, or chat at 988lifeline.org
- Oregon YouthLine: Call 1-877-968-8491 or text "teen2teen" to 839-863. You can also email Teen2Teen@LinesforLife.org or chat.
- Support organizations
- Safe + Strong: A youth-based organization and resource center that offers peer support via chat or Twitch
- Reach Out Oregon: Offers peer-to-peer support for parents and families
- Trillium Family Services: Offers mental and behavioral health care for children and families
- Morrison Child and Family Services: Offers support for children, youth and their families
- The Trevor Project: Offers support for LBTQIA+ youth
