CareOregon community giving
For more than two decades, CareOregon Community Giving has worked to improve access to health care and other resources for both CareOregon members and non-members. Since 2020, we’ve invested more than $85 million into Oregon community-based organizations through grants, sponsorships and other giving.
In line with CareOregon's mission to inspire and partner to create quality and equity in individual and community health, the objectives of CareOregon’s community giving program are to:
- Address priority social needs in the communities where our members live
- Build CareOregon partnerships with CBOs addressing community health needs
- Increase collaboration between CBO partners to improve access to care and reduce health disparities
2025 grant requests and event sponsorships
Sponsorships and community grants for 2025 are now closed. Please check back in December for information about sponsorship of events in 2026.
In 2025, our giving will focus on organizations and events providing programming and services to address community health needs including food, housing and access to education and healthcare.
Grant funding will prioritize initiatives in three key focus areas:
- Food & nutrition education, including teaching kitchens and community gardens
- Housing support, such as resident services and eviction prevention
- Access to care & navigation services, emphasizing culturally specific navigation, health literacy, and primary care engagement.
Programs and services seeking support must work with Medicaid or low-income populations in CareOregon's service area of Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Jackson, Multnomah, Tillamook, and/or Washington counties in Oregon.
