Provider updates

This year CareOregon began a Medicaid program for prescribers to restrict patient access to opioids to certain prescriber(s).

This program applies to prescriber-specific restrictions only – no pharmacy restrictions (this is overly restrictive and limits access, especially in rural areas).

There can be one or several prescribers, and they can restrict specific opioids or all opioids. Here is a link to the request form, as well as a brief list of FAQs:
