Limited Specialty Services – Providence Medical Group
Providence Medical Group (PMG) and CareOregon have agreed to pause new referrals to most PMG specialty clinics for CareOregon/Health Share members effective February 15, 2026.
Who does this impact?
Current patients with active treatment plans or scheduled appointments may continue seeing their PMG providers without any changes across all regions
There are also no changes for Columbia Pacific CCO, Jackson Care Connect, as PMG will continue to see new patients in the Metro region for those traveling members. Medicare is not impacted by this change.
Services rendered at Providence facilities will continue with no change. Those services include but are not limited to the following:
- Immediate and urgent care services
- Hospital services
- Ambulatory surgery center
- Radiology services
What specialties will be limited?
All specialty services except the following will no longer accept new CareOregon/Health Share patients:
- Pediatric specialties, including behavioral health
- Maternity services and OB/GYN services, at select locations
- Providence Child & Development Institute
